Easy Sprinkle Dipped Cup, Only 2 Ingredients

I think sprinkle dipped cups are my new obsession. First, I think they’re just so darling.  And second, dipping a cup in sprinkles is a fantastic way to have some fun and easy party décor. It’s a great DIY way to add some extra cuteness to desserts.

I made these strawberry cupcakes, using some adorable cupcake liners, paper straws straws and sprinkles from Sweets and Treats.  If you haven’t already, you totally need to check out how cute their stuff is, and they have cupcake liners, sprinkles and party straws for every party theme!

I wanted to do something fun using the strawberry theme, but since I was already topping my cupcakes with strawberry buttercream, I didn’t want to top my cupcakes with fresh strawberries too.  Instead, I decided to add some strawberries to a cup with a little sprinkle rim to really bring out the strawberry theme.

Making a sprinkle dipped cup, is so simple and easy, and you only need 2 ingredients!

What you need to make a sprinkle dipped cup:

How to make a sprinkle dipped cup:

Step 1:  Add your sprinkles to a shallow bowl.

Step 2:  If you’re using chocolate ganache, slightly warm up the ganache in a microwave, just a few seconds will do great. Taking your paint brush, dip the brush into your edible adhesive. I used corn syrup for these because I wanted the adhesive to be clear so my sprinkles would really “pop”.

Brush the corn syrup or ganache onto the rim of the cup, be sure to cover the edge, and outer rim as far down as you want covered in sprinkles.  The corn syrup is really sticky, so I like to hold the bottom of the cup while doing this. I went around the rim of the cup twice, making sure I covered the whole area completely.

Step 3:  Immediately dip the top the the cup into the sprinkles.  Make sure to move it around a bit so the edible adhesive is completely covered up by sprinkles.

Step 4: Set the cup aside to dry for a few minutes.  If youre using ganace, you can refridgerate your cup for a few minutes so the ganache has some time to set.
