Today, I’m sharing a free puppy checklist printable! Back in march, we brought home the sweetest little (quarantine) puppy. To be honest we weren’t sure if we were ready to get back into the dog game quite yet. Our 10 year old yellow Labrador, Miley, had just passed away in January, and we had a 3 month old baby. But we so badly missed having a fur baby, and watching our kids run around with a dog brings our family so much joy.
We really love Labradors, we enjoy their temperament, energy and loyalty. So, we started looking for labrador puppies close to our area. We came across what is called a diluted Labrador, which is the same as the traditional Labradors (yellow, white, black, or brown) but when breeding, a certain gene can produce a diluted color. These diluted colors are: Silver, Charcoal, Champagne, and Fox Red. These colors tend to have a silver looking undercoat or sheen which can be very attractive to some people.
We found ourselves the cutest little champagne lab with a black nose and she was available right when we wanted her… in March. Because of all the quarantine things happening on a daily basis back in march, we picked our little Luna up at 6 weeks old.
She is the sweetest thing. Loves attention and just wants to be around her humans all day long. She loves licking baby feet and chasing my boys in the yard.
Though we’ve had a dog for 10 years prior to Luna, I feel like we learned SO much this time around.
